|  Né en 1937 au sein d’une famille modeste de sept enfants. C’est là qu’il apprend très tôt à refuser l’injustice sous toutes ses formes. Ayant commencé à travailler dès l’âge de 16 ans il a milité, tout de suite, sur le plan syndical.
A son retour à la vie civile en 1960, il change d’orientation professionnelle. Grâce à son travail de commercial pour la Société de mécanographie JAPY, il parcourt la Bretagne et a des contacts avec tous les milieux sociaux-économiques et culturels. Il prend pleinement conscience dès ce moment de son identité bretonne.
Parcourant ensuite également toute la France il prend toute la dimension du retard – sur de nombreux plans - dans lequel cette Région a été laissée.
Son combat militant pour le civisme a commencé au début des années 60.
C’est la naissance du consumérisme, du « Paraître par rapport à l’Être » du désintérêt des Français pour la politique qu’ils laissent, inconséquents, « se faire à leur place, pour eux.. ? » par les politiques qui les y encouragent en leur disant « faites nous confiance, donnez-nous vos suffrages, Nous, on s’occupe de tout… Vous, achetez, possédez ! vivez !»
A la fin des années 60 il milite quelque temps au Parti Radical de Jean-Jacques SERVAN SCHREIBER qu’il appréciait pour ses prises de positions humanistes et courageuses contre la torture durant la Guerre d’Algérie. Cela a été, et reste, son seul engagement au sein d’un parti politique. Cela ne l’a pas empêché de continuer à militer, à s’engager pour faire valoir tout ce qui est de nature à faire que « l’Homme reste au centre de la Société » : responsabilité individuelle, liberté d’expression, respect des individus, tolérance.
Sans cesse il combat le corporatisme, le jacobinisme étroit, centralisateur, stérilisateur et créateur de nationalisme, de totalitarisme.
Cela l’a amené à créer, en 1989, le Mouvement pour la reconnaissance du vote « blanc »
Il a siégé au Conseil régional de Bretagne, de 1992 à 1998 en étant le seul élu de la liste « BLANC C’EST EXPRIME." Très impliqué dans la vie associative, culturelle et sportive, il a participé et participe toujours aux destinées de nombreux Comités ou associations. Aimant l’humour, passionné de tout, de la vie, n’étant « jamais indifférent » il prend position, fait valoir, pour défendre les causes, les idées « justes, à ses yeux. »
